It's rare you get a chance to meet and interview someone who needs no introduction, but Michael Stipe just might be one of those people.
The R.E.M. frontman for three decades, Stipe and the band are known for too many classic songs for us to name, from "It's The End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" to "Losing My Religion."
R.E.M. captured the 80s zeitgeist in a way that allow even us, growing up as Gen Z-leaning Millennials, to feel like we were able to experience it too.
We met Stipe at the SVA Theater in New York City for a Tribeca Storytellers panel as three generations of our family waited from all up and down the coast for an update.
Our best scoop from the entire festival? Not only is Michael Stipe a legend, he's gracious and kind, too.
